Rashid Talha
I am a student in the mathematics section of the Postgraduate Diploma Programme at the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste, Italy. More details about my academic background can be found in my CV.
My interests span mathematics and theoretical physics, with a particular focus on differential geometry and its applications to gravitational physics, including black holes and quantum gravity. I am also studying the geometric and algebraic structure of gauge theories.
Studies:
I completed my undergraduate studies in Mathematics at NUST in Islamabad, Pakistan, under the supervision of Dr. Tooba Feroze. I was awarded the President's Gold medal (highest-ranking student) and the Rector's Gold Medal (best final-year project).
Details about some of my current and past projects, and selected lecture notes are available here.
Coding:
I maintain a repository of LaTeX templates and convenient header files that I use regularly in my work.
I have also worked with Dr. Asif Farooq on interdisciplinary projects, applying machine learning and numerical methods to address real-world mathematical modelling problems.
